We handcraft every batch of Beard Sauce from start to finish. We mix the formula, pour each bottle individually, and cap and label each bottle by hand. We melt, mix, pour, and label every balm tin by hand as well.
We use only the purest carrier oils
A carrier oil is a vegetable oil derived from the fatty portion of a plant, usually from the seeds, kernels or the nuts.. We source the purest cold-pressed carriers oils that we can from suppliers that endorse sustainable practices. Our Beard Sauce products, including the balm, use a proprietary mixture of Argan, Avocado, and Jojoba oils

The History Behind Beard Sauce
Beard Sauce hit the market in 2013 when beard oils were first starting to gain popularity. It was formulated by a couple in Florida and started gaining traction with a feature in GQ Magazine. They ran the brand for almost two years before they decided to place the business on hold so they could focus on raising their family. In 2018, Choppy Seas Trading Company acquired the brand and original formulas to relaunch Beard Sauce and bring it back to market with the love and support of the original creators. Choppy Seas Trading Company has expanded the brand to include new products in the Beard Sauce family including the recently released balms, butters, soaps, combs, and brushes.

Beard balm has a higher concentration of wax designed to shape, style, and tame flyaways. Beard butter is lighter in texture and designed for nourishment, rejuvenation, and moisturizing.
Fragrant Beard Sauce is scented with fragrance oils. This gives more flexibility with scents and more cologne-type smells. Essential Beard Sauce is scented with all-natural essential oils giving more effervescent and earthy tones that don't linger as long as fragrance oils.
The vegan balms and butters and handcrafted with Candelilla Wax instead of Beeswax. They also use all-natural essential oils for scents instead of fragrance oils.
